So I had to ask myself "what can I do that I would be fun and include moving my body?" Regular workouts are so boring - to me anyways.
In my opinion staying in shape should be fun, not a chore. I know from my own past experience that if I don't like something I will not continue with it. So I needed to figure out what I loved to do, and the answer was simple...I love to dance.
So I have a plan...considering that I haven't danced on a regular basis in a number of years I know that I need to start on some basics like stretching and breathing before I work my way up to any sort of dance routine. So I found some basic yoga videos on the internet which I started yesterday, I'm starting with the basic movements. The video is only 10 minutes long so it fits in perfectly to my day. And I can tell you this was the perfect place for me to start. I woke up this morning feeling a little sore, nothing major though, all I had to do was a few yoga moves this morning and the soreness pretty much went away.
Today is day 2 and I completed my 10 minutes for the day - I'm shooting for 30 days. After 30 days I should be able to tell if I will continue with yoga or try something different. Will keep you posted!
