A great example of this is to think of a dry ease whiteboard. The whiteboard represents the Divine, pure – clean - clear. The memories and programs are the beliefs, thoughts, judgments you have about yourself and others. This is what covers the whiteboard. As these thoughts/judgments/memories begin to fill up the whiteboard, it covers up who you really are, the Divine. You're either living from shared memories or through divine inspiration.
So how do you clean up all these memories, programs and judgments so you can live a more peaceful life?
You say four phrases to the Divine in your mind:
I'm sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
I'm sorry
You really have no idea what is really going on in any situation. And that’s what you are sorry for, “I'm sorry that I don't know what's really going on here.” The Divine is the only one who knows exactly what's going on.
Please forgive me
The Divine knows you are perfect and therefore doesn't have any reason or need to forgive you. In the Divines eyes you are already perfect in every way. You are really asking forgiveness because you need to say it, you need to forgive yourself. “Please forgive me for whatever memory or program that is in me that is showing up as this experience or situation in my life, others lives, in the world.”
Thank you
Attitude of gratitude. Being thankful that the Divine is clearing out whatever needs to be cleaned, its trusting that the Divine knows what's best and is taking care of the matter.
I love you
By saying I love you you're not only saying it to the Divine, but you are loving who you are. We all want to feel loved.
So if you want to think clearly, live happier, be more creative, allow the real you to shine through. Remember it only takes for simple phrases:
I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.

P. S. It also works if you don't believe in God/Divine
