| Have you ever tried to convince someone that your opinion was the right one? How did that work out for you? Not well I'm guessing. Or let's look at it another way, someone is telling you that your opinion is wrong and theirs is the right one. Feathers start to ruffle as you both dig in with both feet as you each stubbornly defend your different points of view. Why? Why is it so important that we try to convince |
We would and could let go of so much stress and anger if we just allowed others to have their own points of view - after all, don't you expect others to allow you yours?
The only person that your opinion should really matter to - is you! It really is ok for others to not agree with you, it doesn't make them wrong or right and it doesn't make you wrong or right either. Having differing opinions creates interesting conversations, it keeps the juices flowing - just don't take it so seriously.
Relax, breathe and enjoy the unique differences we all have.
How boring this world would be if we didn't have each other to shake things up a bit ;-)
Just a little Food for Thought,
